Leonard Mead is the main and only character of the short story “The Pedestrian”, written by the American writer Ray Bradbury in 1951. The activity that Leonard engages in at night is walking throughout the city. Leonard emphasizes that he never encountered anybody during his evening walks since all people was watching TV in a world driven by watching TV as main activity.
