I believe that Dafoe in Robinson Crusoe believed that the best governors are the ones who work hard and follow honest practices when managing subjects.
This may not have been his thinking when he got stranded on the island initially since he was a slave-owner in Brazil but with time and reflection and his relation with his slave Friday I believe he came around to this idea.

Is it our differences or our similarities that matter the most
Akimi4 [234]

Answer:

Our differences

Explanation:

There are lots of people in the world, and our differences make us realise that we are one in a million. The saying: opposite attracts also suggests that our differences matter the most than our similarities.

There are lots of people we share attributes, similarities with and we get bored because it seems as if we are living with a carbon copy of ourselves, therefore we look out for that person that is different from us. Why? We do this because we need the other person to complement us.

The word which describes the motivation behind Hiawatha's sacrifice is:

C. commiseration.

Explanation:

Commiseration means sympathy or compassion for the suffering of others. In the myth "Hiawatha: the Unifier," commiseration is the motivation behind Hiawatha's actions. It is due to his sympathy for human beings that he comes to earth from Heavens. He rescues people from monsters and teaches them different skills so that they are able to survive on their own. Later, it is also due to his compassion that he makes a huge sacrifice when the tribes he once taught and named are being attacked by a wild, ferocious people.
