Answer:

 • At point P and in toward the tencer of the track (D.)

Explanation:

As it is correctly recalled at the end of the question, acceleration is the rate of change of velocity.

Velocity is a vector: it has magnitude (called speed) and direction.

Since the car drives at constant speed, the accelereration (the change in the velocity) is not the result of the change of speed but of the change of direction.

In points R and Q the motion of the car is rectilinear; thus, you conclude that there is not acceleration at those points (neither the speed nor the direction change).

On the point P the car changes its direction appreciably, thus it is at point P that the longest acceleration occurs.

Regarding the direction at which the acceleration vector points toward, it is so that the car changes from going vertical upward to going (a littile) toward the right, to follow the clockwise path along the track: the acceleration has to be in toward the center of the track, because in that way the car is pulled and forced to follow the track.

a library has an average of 510 visitors on Sundays and 240 visitors on other days. The average number of visitors per day in a
serious [3.7K]

Answer:

285

Step-by-step explanation:

hi

personally this is how i would do this question but there are other ways.

i would start off by seeing how many sundays there are in the month (which is 5) then the number of other days which is 25. i'd then multiply 5 by 510 which is 2550. add that to 240 times 25 (which is 6000) and all of that together is 8550. divide that by the number of the days in the month (30) and then you'll get the daily avergae for the month

hope this helped:)

What is X equal to? PS it’s not 180
AVprozaik [17]

Answer:

x = 47

Step-by-step explanation:

86° and 2x° are supplementary angles, which means that added together they should equal 180° (which is a line). Aka

86 + 2x = 180 (Let's solve for x) (subtract both sides by 86 to get x on one side)

2x = 94 (divide both sides by 2 to get x by itself)

x = 47

What is the area of a triangle with vertices at (−4, 1) ,  (−7, 5)  , and  (0, 1)  ?
Mekhanik [1.2K]
Plot the points on a graph. Connect the dots into a triangle. See that the height of the triangle is from y=5 down to y=1. So the height is 4 units.
Area of a triangle: A = (1/2)BH

You need to find the length of the base. Which is from point (-4,1) to (0,1). You can use the distance formula r just see from the graph that the base is 4 units.

A = (1/2)(4)(4)
A = 8

** Distance formula fyi
d² = (X-x)² + (Y-y)²
with points (X,Y) and (x,y)
