There is a beautiful Italian restaurant in the heart of the city. Their main specialty is pasta. Although the city is full of grey skyscrapers, this Italian restaurant is by the river. This is a posh area in the city. The docks have been turned into an area of cafés and places to eat.

The smell of wood and fresh bread is felt when going into the place. The tables and chairs are made of dark wood. The wood from the furniture brings the nice smells from the kitchen out. Freshly baked bread is the smell that generally welcomes the customers. It makes the customers feel the need for delicious pasta . They get in, smell freshly-baked bread and, generally, choose the tables by the windows. Everything seems perfect.

Once the customers have sat at the wooden tables covered in soft white tableclothes, they are given menus made of recycled paper. The pages of the menu are brownish and the name of the dishes are handwritten. The style of the menu clashes with the modern style of the restaurant. However, it looks like a handicraft and gives ordering a warm touch. The specialties are written in golden ink, so the letters shine and this makes the customers associate the chef with a king or queen.

Pasta lovers tend to choose one of the chef's specialty: lasagna. This is made of some soft and thin layers. The dough from the layers is spongy and is invaded by all the nice flavours of the dish: tomato, garlic, spinach, cheese, ham and mince beef. The cheese is creamy inside the lasagna and the cheese on the top is brownish and crunchy. The soft tomatoe sauce drips down the lasagnas and pieces of dried mushrooms land on the plate. This tastes like a royal dish.

The view from the restaurant window can be appreciated over the meal. At midday, the city river looks silver and brown. Silver makes the river look like a sparkling dish and the silhouettes of a few rowers can be seen sliding over it. The slow movement of the rowers turns the meals peaceful. At night, the city river looks like a mirrow since the city lights reflect on it. This night view turns the meal into a magic event; it makes customers feel they are in a world of fantasy.

The pasta and the beautiful views become more delicious and more beautiful when the customers enjoy the wine from the resturant. The reddish colour of the grapes, which can be seen through big cups, reflects the good quality of the wine. After sipping the cups, the customers feel the dry flavours of the wine in their mouths. This flavour brings the lasagna flavour out and , at the same time, this mixture of tastes turns the river view into a dream.

Finally, the "royal" meal can be finished with a dessert. Spongy and creamy ice-cream scoops , or steamy pancakes ,or crunchy brownies or fresh fruit salad are just a few dishes on the menu. These can be picked up from the dessert menu, which is different from the main course menu. The dessert menu is also made of re-cycled paper but the pages are pinkish; these pages look like strawberries since they have tiny spots on them. The menu looks sweet and the customer will probably choose a creamy dessert with strawberries on the top.

This Italian restaurant in the heart of a grey city has all the elements to make pasta lovers feel in a royal place. The smells , the flavours and the views the restaurnat has will make any pasta lover feel like royal guests.

Why do you think that Michael Moore’s style of filmmaking has been so successful?
ololo11 [35]

Answer:

I think he’s able to explain complex political topics (i.e., guns, income inequality) in simple, narrative ways that the public can easily understand. He also has a strong political point of view which makes his documentaries inherently more entertaining. Just my two cents...
