A) ¾ because ½ will make 3 servings and ¹½ makes 6

b) ⅞ white sugar because ⅝ will make 3 servings and ¾ makes 1. Maybe ⅝ because ³ or ¾ will make 3 servings and ⅓ makes 6

c) You need (I think) plus ¹ more to make 9 servings. If not so then it is plus ⅛. Because the original recipe which is 6 servings needs ¹½ while 9 servings is about ²½ of the original recipe, therefore the answer is plus ¹ or ⅛

8) Tammy uses 1 3/4 cups of laundry detergent per load. When she was finished
mina [271]

Tammy uses 1 3/4 cups of laundry detergent. The number of loads is 4

<u>Solution:</u>

Given that, Tammy uses 1 3/4 cups of laundry detergent per load.

When she was finished doing laundry one day.

She noticed that she had used 7 cups of laundry detergent.

We have to find how many loads did she do?

Now, we know that, Total cups used can be written as:

<em> </em>number of loads x number of cups per each load = total cups used.

\begin{array}{l}{\text { Then, number of loads } \times 1 \frac{3}{4}=7} \\\\ {\text { Number of loads } \times \frac{1 \times 4+3}{4}=7} \\\\ {\text { Number of loads } \times \frac{7}{4}=7} \\\\ {\text { Number of loads }=7 \times \frac{4}{7}=4}\end{array}

Hence, the number of loads are 4.
