The correct answer to this question is the following.

Many Chinese merchants traveled only as far as Dunhuang on the Silk Road, basically for the following two reasons. 1) During those years, Dunhuang becomes an important hub place for trade in the Silk Road, where people met to commerce all kinds of products. 2) Dunhuang in the middle of some crossing paths. Indeed it was the intersection of the central, north, and south silk routes. That is why Dunhuang represented a strategic place with so many logistic operations in the Taklamakan Desert, in the northwest of China.

I hope this helps. I don't know if it is right or wrong, but good luck:)

What did Andreas Vesalius, William Harvey, and Robert Hooke have in common?
never [62]

Answer:

They were all part of the scientific revolution

Explanation:

William Harvey

Through dissection, Harvey (1578-1657) was the first to demonstrate that the circulation of blood through the human body is continuous, rather than consisting of different types circulating through the veins and arteries, as had been previously assumed by the ancient Greek physician, Galen.

Andreas Vesalius

As a student and professor in Belgium and Paris, Vesalius (1514-1564) was educated in the anatomical works and theories of the ancient Greek physician Galen, whose views on anatomy had long been the standard in Europe. Vesalius questioned Galen's authority, and published On the Fabric of the Human Body in 1543. It is considered the first great modern work of science, and the foundation of modern biology.

So Andreas Vesalius, William Harvey, Anton van Leeuwenhoek and

Robert Hooke made historic advances in our understanding of living things,

yet were not responsible for true paradigm shifts or concepts of major

significance. ‘There emerged no theory of protozoans, theory of human

anatomy and physiology, or theory of insect structure – nor could any

theories emerge since no fundamental questions were being asked, no major

hypotheses being tested.’

What was the goal of mercantilism? a)to force Native Americans to work in mines and on plantations b)transport slaves from Afric
Kitty [74]

Answer:

\boxed {\boxed {\sf D. \ Build \ the \ nation's \ gold \ and \ silver \ reserves \ by \ exporting \ more \ goods \ than \ it \ imported}}

Explanation:

Mercantilism is an economic policy that thrived beginning in the 1500s. It was one of the driving forces behind colonization and imperialism.

 • A country wanted to gain as much wealth as possible. One way to accomplish this goal was to implant a favorable balance of trade. This meant the country exported more goods (sold) than it imported (bought). Essentially, the wealth flowing into the nation was greater than the money leaving.
 • The countries needed a way to create this balance. So, they began to colonize. Colonies were incredibly valuable because they had natural resources. The mother country extracted the resources from the colony, produced goods in the country, and then sold them back to the colony. This practice maximized their wealth, gold, silver, and power.

The best answer choice must be D. Build the nation's gold and silver reserves by exporting more goods than it imported.
