I will be telling you of a time that I had a life death experience, when I went on vacation with my family last summer. Just right after my brothers got out of school, also after I and my dad got done with a job we had at the time. On Monday, just before we started to make reservations and planning our vacation we all had a talk to my little brother (Brandon) because he is very energetic and we had to make sure that he didn’t swim out to far, also the dangers of the ocean. Oh! I forgot to mention we were going to Panama City, Florida for a week. Also it was going to be the first time that my family and I go for an entire week. We have gone there before three days or so but never that for a whole week like we were just about to. Moving on, after …show more content…
So we did and found a spot where the sand was high enough to stand and it was pretty shallow there it went up to our knees, the waves there were very high, high enough to sink a ship. But we still stayed there not really caring about the wave’s height, then my brother had a great idea “let’s bring Kimberly” “my sister who can’t swim not even if she had a one of the noodles”. And as a very responsible older brother I said “yea we should she would have a lot of fun here”. So we swam back to go get her and since she couldn’t swim I held her up with one arm and swam with the other to get there and just you can have an image of how far it was from where you are reading this to the nearest Zaxby’s “pretty far. I asked him three times but he didn’t answer so I walked to because again the water was knee deep there, but when I got there he said “it’s nothing just go back and serve the ball” so I did and then we got tired of playing with the beach ball, so we just want to see if we can recess the waves hitting us head on....THIS IS enough❤️

Answer:
My hands were clamped up as I knew I was next to give my speech. I was the "social justice kid" and didn't understand why I was now being scared to speak up for what I believed. I got up on the stand, took a deep breath and began speaking.
My face felt hot from all the mistakes I was making while speaking. My hands started to fumble with the papers as I turned the page to continue my speech. My voice trembled for a second but soon turned back to confident when I noticed I was almost finished.
The audience got up and clapped for me. My shoulders relaxed knowing I didn't become that much of an embarrassment. I even had people come up to me and tell me how much of an amazing job I did.
I learned giving speeches seemed really scary at first, but with confidence, it becomes easier. I knew what I believed in and that was all that mattered. Oh, and of course, taking a deep breath made things easier!
