True

The Qing officials were worried about internal uprisings such as the Taiping Uprising which arose as the peasants considered the origins of the dynasty as foreign. China also experienced explosive population growth which posed a threat as it was not industrially revolutionized to meet the needs of this population.

faust18 [17]
The origin of civilization in Peru is similar to that of the river valley civilizations of Egypt and Mesopotamia is that both civilization settled in areas that were on rivers, this gave the people access to water which needed to live, transport goods and people, and most importantly plant crops. Because they were both by rivers the land was fertile which is a plus for settling in a location and not to mention of the individuals settling were not the first to think the area was great animals and plants thrived and lived in the area which is another food source. Anarel [89]

Answer:

No, the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the Prince of Austria in Serajevo became one of the immediate cause of the First World War.

Explanation:

There are many causes for the rise of the First World War like the rise of national sentiments, all the major European powers were colonizing abroad, their selfishness, spirit of aggrandizement increased to such an extent that they started bitter rivalries among themselves. William Kaiser II, the German Emperor cherished ambitions of world domination. In 1907, Europe was divided into two hostile camps. The chief causes were the secret alliances between England, France, Russia and Japan and on the other between Germany, Austria - Hungary, Turkey and Italy. The other causes such as compulsory military training, competition in creating destructive weapons, thirst for colonial expansion, ignoring of public opinion in the European Kingdoms. Austria always opposed Serbia in the Balkan Peninsula and the Serbs disliked the Austrians. Many times, Serbia had to accept terms of Austria which were unjust downright. There were prior reasons of estranged relationship between Austria and Serbia as well as among the European powers before the assassination and the assassination served as an immediate cause for their thirst which had led to a World War.

What issues were settled between the united states and great britain in 1817 and 1818? navies and fishing rights on the great la
DerKrebs [107]
Actually, all of those answers were part of treaty agreements between the United States and Great Britain in 1817-1818.

The one that seems odd in the list is "Oregon Country disputed," because that was a matter not settled at that time.  In the Treaty of 1818, the two sides agreed to some joint occupancy of the Oregon Country for ten years.  Actual resolution of disputes over joint occupancy didn't come until the Oregon Treaty of 1846.
