bonnes vacances! = have a good holiday!

bon voyage! = have a good trip!

bonne route! = have a safe journey!

les grandes vacances = school summer break

partir en vacances = to go on holiday/vacation

aller au soleil = to go under the sun

aller à la mer = to go by the beach

aller à la montagne = to go to the mountains (usually to ski, but maybe to hike)

Faire ses valises = to pack

Défaire ses valises = to unpack

On est allés… We went…

Clément = Est-ce qu tu es libre ce soir ? On peut aller au restaurant.

Sandrine = Non, ma chérie (should be "mon chéri", if answering Clément). Ce n'est pas possible. On a du pain sur le planche.

A- avoir du pain sur la planche ==> have got a lot to do
B- a la tête dans les nuages ==> to have your head in the clouds
C- a raison ==> is right
D- a la tête sur les épaules ==> to have got your head on your shoulder (to know what you're doing..)
