2r + (t + r) is the same thing as 2r + t + r

To solve this combine like terms. In this case the like terms are 2r and r

2r + t + r

2r + r OR 2r + 1r

3r

3r + t

2r + (t + r) = 3r + t

Hope this helped!

melomori [17]

Answer:

100 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Set up a proportion where x is the amount of minutes it will take her to make the 50 inch long scarf:

\frac{70}{35} = \frac{x}{50}

Cross multiply and solve for x:

35x = 3500

x = 100

So, it will take her 100 minutes to make Shannon's scarf

Answer:

  (x, y) = (10, 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Opposite sides are the same length, so ...

  ON = LM

  6x -3 = 4x +17

  2x = 20 . . . . . . . . add 3-4x

  x = 10

__

  OL = NM

  x -5 = 3y -7

  10 -5 + 7 = 3y . . . . . substitute x, add 7

  12/3 = y = 4 . . . . . .  simplify, divide by 3

The values of x and y are 10 and 4, respectively.
