The correct answer is A) fear.

The Third Reich based its power primarily on fear.

The Nazis designed the name of the Third Reich to identify its time in power from 1933 –the year Hitler became the leader of Germany- to 1945. Hitler used everything on his hands to establish a dominant and fearful power presence in Germany. He also used the intelligence of Joseph Goebbels, his Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda, to spread its Nazi principles and German supremacy throughout the nation.

The other options of the questions were, b) censorship, c) laws and d) incentive.

The 3rd Reich based its power primarily on fear.

Further explanation:

The English name used for Germany between years 1933 and 1945 was Nazi Germany which was also known as Third Reich. The term Third Reich meant "Third Realm" or "Third Empire". This phase ended with the end of World War II.

The Nazi regime was well known for its execution of "antisemitic legislation" which was a policy that aimed at segregating the Jews from the so called superior section of the Germans, i.e., the Non-Jews. It was believed that the Jews were racially inferior and hence needed to be separated from the "Aryan" society. The policy began in April 1933 which excluded the Jews from various organizations and professions. Restoration of the Professional Civil Service was the first step which was followed by other laws, rules and regulations that turned Hitler's dream of separating the Jews from the society, into a reality. The infamous Holocaust was an embodiment of the repulsion and hatred that the Jews suffered in Nazi Germany.
