Answer:

The meaning behind the statement is that What is done cannot be undone. but that one can prevent it from happening again.

Explanation:

At a time when the Nazis sought to kill all the jews of Europe, Anne was an ordinary girl in an extraordinary time. The events recorded in Anne Franks diary took place during the World war 2. Both prior to the war and throughout the war years, The Nazis continously depicted the Jews as Sub-human and as vermin.

The Franks family had to go into hiding to avoid getting killed. Throughout the families time in hiding, Anne kept a diary of everything that happened. Anne retained a positive outlook on life even though she had to remain hiding.

She still believed that in spite of everything that people are truly good at heart. that what is done cannot be undone but that one can prevent it from happening again. in her words "dont think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains" and that who ever is happy will make others happy too.

Anne Franks believes that no matter what we maybe facing, that we should look up to the heavens and everything will be alright and that the cruelty will end and peace will return.

Asking if i will have the same sentiments about human nature; i would say yes. my reason being that we must continue believing in the best even when faced with the worst.

Agree or disagree with the following statement:
Nesterboy [21]

I disagree. The 70s may have been a tough time for some but it was mostly a time of renewal and new things coming. The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970, so it was a start of awareness of what was happening to our planet. Also, the 70s are mainly known as the time of the hippie movement. people were upset about things happening but they also tried to change things. People were mostly happy and enjoying life. Like someone about that time (I can't remember who) "I was alive and living".

Hope that helps!

Name
three
innovations
in transportation
during
the 1800
Over [174]

Answer:

The use of steamships became very popular in the United States in the early 18oos after Robert Fulton had traveled to France and investigated what had been done there with the steam engine. In 1811, the first in a line of river steamboats left the dock in Pittsburgh to steam down the Ohio River to the Mississippi and on down to New Orleans, a major port of the United States. Steamboats were used on rivers and the great lakes for inexpensive transportation of goods. However, there were hazards and many ships were damaged in their excursions. Also, they burned wood and much deforestation took place during the era of steamboats.

A third advancement was in the construction of metal bridges which could sustain the weight of railroad cars, etc. Plans for such bridges such as the Manhattan Bridge date back to the early 1800s.

Another great boon to transportation was the creation of trains that could rapidly traverse the country with good. Later, with the invention of the refrigerator car, produce from California could arrive fresh in New England, for example. John Steinbeck's novel, East of Eden has a character who seeks to make money by transporting lettuce on the railways. However, his idea was premature because the refrigerator cars were not yet made.
