-6 + 5x = 6x - 7   Subtract 5x from both sides
        -6 = x - 7     Add 7 to both sides
          1 = x          Switch the sides to make it easier to read
         x = 1

Help please!! the ones with the X’s on the question numbers do not need to be answered! :)
Naddik [55]

me need slope and y intercept to get it in y=mx+b form (slope intercept)

Slope is the

difference in y / differences in x

differences in y = 6.5 -3  = 3.5

difference in x = 2 - 1 = 1

so slope is 3.5/1 or just 3.5

(now you can see the answer is c but lets check it by getting the y intercept too)

y intercept

this is when x is 0

the lowest x we see is 1 so if I go bacl to 0 in x the y must for back 3.5

3-3.5 is -0.5

so equation is y=3.5x -0.5 so the closest is c

Oordinates of point that divides the join of A (-6, 3) & B (5, -2) in ratio 2 : 3 externally _________.
DedPeter [7]

Answer:

C(x,y) = (-28,13)

Step-by-step explanation:

If co-ordinates of points A(x1,y1) and (x2,y2) and C is the external point that divides the line AB in ratio m:n then,

C (x,y) = \frac{mx_2-nx_1}{m-n} , \frac{my_2-ny_1}{m-n}

Given: A (-6, 3) & B (5, -2) in ratio 2 : 3

Substituting these values in above formula to C(x,y)

C (x,y) = \frac{2\times5-3(-6)}{2-3} , \frac{2(-2)-3(3)}{2-3}

Solving we get

C(x,y) = (-28,13)

Arisa [49]

Answer:

initial value is 15

growth factor is 1.25

Step-by-step explanation:

we are given

The number of members f(x) in Joe's health club

increased by 25% every year over a period of x years

The function below shows the relationship between f(x) and x as

f(x)=15(1.25)^x

now, we can compare it with exponential function

f(x)=a(b)^x

where

a is the initial value

b is growth factor

we can compare and find 'a' and 'b'

a=15,b=1.25

So,

initial value is 15

growth factor is 1.25

we know that

x is time

so, it can never be negative

f(x) is number of chambers

so, f(x) can not be negative

now, we can draw graph

and we get as
