Answer:

geosphere: because the cryosphere scraped rock away as it slowly moved

Explanation:

The glaciers are basically slow moving masses of frozen water, or rather ice. All the ice in the world is part of the cryosphere. The glaciers move downward, as their movement is influenced by the gravity.

As the large ice mass moves downward, it creates lot of pressure on the geosphere in which it slides upon. The ice of glaciers is very heavy, and helped by the movement, it manages to change the part of the geosphere on which it moves. This creates numerous different shapes in the landscape, as the movement of the glacier manages to erode the geosphere on which it moves upon.

The glaciers and the shapes made in the landscape from them can be found primarily in the higher latitudes, or in the places that have higher elevation in the lower latitudes.

Take a moment to think about how the Colorado River has evolved through time. Focus on how changing base level and stream incisi
PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

1    -       3     -     4    -   2

Explanation:

1  . A stream migrates laterally across its floodplain developing meanders. This stream terminates at a lake, which is its base level.

2. The base level of the stream is lowered by crustal uplift and the river begins to incise downward.

3.Incised meanders form.

4.A rincon forms by the cutoff of an incised meander, which shortens the river.

From its source high in the Rocky Mountains, the Colorado River channels water south nearly 1,500 miles, over falls, through deserts and canyons, to the lush wetlands of a vast delta in Mexico and into the Gulf of California. That is, it did so for six million years.

Describe the processes of succession that would occur after a new volcanic island emerges from the ocean.
stepladder [879]
Ans: Primary succession occurs when new land is formed or bare rock is exposed, providing a habitat that can be colonized for the first time. For example, primary succession may take place following the eruption of volcanoes, such as those on the Big Island of Hawaii. As lava flows into the ocean, new rock is formed.
