Indeed the Lybian desert is part of the famous Sahara Desert. The Lybian portion of the desert is divided into two, the Eastern part and the western part. It is considered to be the hottest and driest desert in the world. To the west of this desertic zone we also find the region known as the Ubari Sand Sea and Sabha. In this region of the desert there are also oases and mountains.
