HURRRY 30 POINTS PLEASEE HELPIn "The Most Dangerous Game," how does the setting impact Rainsford?

English
1 answer:
Furkat [3]4 years ago
8 0

Answer:

Sanger Rainsford experiences a significant transformation and gains perspective after being hunted by the maniacal General Zaroff throughout Ship-Trap Island for three consecutive days. ... Unfortunately, Rainsford falls off the yacht and must swim to General Zaroff's nearby island.

It is a brutal place, with no softness, where every move could be your last and danger is always around the corner. Thus the setting clearly establishes the kind of arena where the "game" will be played, foreshadowing the danger and violence.

The setting influences the plot of the story because in that time period hunting wasn't unusual. ... It affects the plot because Rainsford first hides in a tree, but if he hadn't, he might have been shot dead. The story takes place on an island, making it hard for anybody to either find you or escape.
