The quotation from the text that best shapes the theme that true friends make sacrifices for one another is "I will give myself up as a pledge of my friend's return. and if any accident befalls him I will die in his stead".
This quotation is taken from Damon and Pythias, a story which illustrates the value of a true friendship. In this myth, Pythias, who is Damon's friend, is accused of betraying Dionysius. Phythias asks the ruler to allow him to go home to settle his affairs and then return to be executed. Dionysius only accepts his petition when Damon offers to take his friend's place until he comes back. This quote shows that Damon is willing to give up his life for his friend. When Pythias actually returns, Dionysius is so amazed by Pythias and Damon's friendship that he decides to pardon both of them.
Atticus is Scout's father in the book To Kill a Mockingbird. He loves being a lawyer because he gets to help people regardless of their race. We see this when he helps the African American who was charged with the [email protected] of Mayella who was obviously raped by her own father instead of the black dude.
I really really hope that this helped you out hon. If you have anymore questions I am very very happy to help :)
D is the right answer because it sounds better. I can't tell what story this is
Back in the day monsters were used to scare or shock them, they were ugly and different. If you look at Frankenstein, he’s deemed a monster or demon for most of the book. The only person to show him kindness was the blind man. In other older books most people fear or want to kill the monsters in the books. But if you look at today’s monsters we have vampires falling in love with humans, werewolves getting with humans. There are still stories where real life monsters like killers and such are made to scare you but not as many fictional monsters.
hopefully this helps and gives you some ideas on what to write, let me know if you need more examples!!
