Mathematics

Answer:

12.7cm

Step-by-step explanation:

there are 2 triangles , triangle ABC and triangle BCD

use Pythagoras theorem for triangle ABC to find the line BC

let BC = h

12^2=6^2+h^2

making h the subject

h=

\sqrt{ {12}^{2}  -  {6}^{2}  }  \\

h =

6 \sqrt{3}

so line BC is

6 \sqrt{3}

for triangle BCD, there's an angle 55 degrees

sin theta = opposite/hypotenuse

where BC is the opposite

theta which is the angle = 55

h =  \frac{6 \sqrt{3} }{sin55}

sin55 =  \frac{6 \sqrt{3} }{h}

h = 12.69

note h = CD

in 3 s.f ,h= 12.7cm

For the graph of the inequality x - 2y >4, what is a value of x for a point that is on the
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Explanation:

First, find two points on the line if you change the inequality to an equation.

For

x

For

x

x

or

(

We can plot these two points and draw a line through them to get the border of the inequality:

graph{(x^2+(y-2)^2-0.075)((x-4)^2+y^2-0.075)(x+2y-4)=0}

The line will be solid because the inequality operator has a "or equal to" clause in it. We can now shade the area to the right of the line because the inequality has a "great than" clause in it.

graph{(x+2y-4)>=0}

Which of the following statements is true? A 6.75 < 6.759 < 6.751 < 6.85 B 5.55 < 5.559 < 5.65 < 5.69 C 4.11 &
MrRissso [65]
Answer: B, 5.55 < 5.559 < 5.65 < 5.69
The only sign used is "less than", so every consecutive number must be larger than the ones before it. Choice B is the only option that does not break this rule.
