English

Zolol [24]3 years ago

Answer:

1. engages readers

2. less wordy

4. less confusing

Explanation:

The advantages of using active voice can be that readers engage in the text more easily because the text is less wordy . Also, all the elements are mentioned, so the sentence will be less confusing. For example, the sentence: " A group of kids smashed the window pane"  may be more enganging than : " A window pane was smashed by a group of kids"; and less confusiong than:   " A window pane was smashed". Why is the active voice  less wordy? Because you do not need to use the italised words: " A window pane <em>was</em> smashed <em>by</em> a group of kids." Why is the active voice less confusing? , Because you will never omit the agent. Compare: "<em>A group of kids</em> smashed the window pane." This has an agent -see italised phrase.  " A window pane was smashed". This has not got an agent.

Ronch [10]

The correct answer is:

The inevitability of death.

The poem "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" is the inner monologue of a man stricken with feelings of isolation, weariness, regret, embarrassment, and particularly an awareness of mortality.

Tema [17]
Basically, this quote means that you should do what's best for you even if the choices you make might hurt someone else. It also states that you need to do things that are in your best interest, even if they hurt and are painful because at the end of the day you are the most important person and you deserve to be happy.
