Because of the industrial revolution many of the population which were previously farmers on common land, moved to cities where the factory jobs were available. This urbanized great britain because the increase in population in the cities made the cities larger. The jobs in the countryside were lost due to the new farm machines as well.

How did Abraham Lincoln’s 10% Plan compare to the Radical Republicans’ plan for Reconstruction?
Nana76 [90]
Abraham Lincoln's plan for reconstruction included the Ten Percent Plan which specified that a southern state can be readmitted into the Union when there is an oath of allegiance from at least 10 percent of its voters. That includes all Southerners, except for high ranking Confederate army officers and government officials, be granted full pardon. This was Lincoln's way to end the war, unlike the Radical Republicans, Lincoln's Ten Percent plan didn't include punishing southerners, reorganizing society, developing industry, disbanding their planter aristocracy, redistribution of land in the South since the Radical Republicans wanted to punish the South for starting the war.

What led to the formation of the republican party in the 1850s?
Naddik [55]
There are two main types of voting systems that can lead to different party systems.  These are “first past the post” or “winner take all” systems on the one hand and proportional representation systems on the other.  Each of these will tend to lead to a different type of party system.
