On December 7, 1941, the Japanese Army attacked the United States naval base located in Pearl Harbor, close to Honolulu, Hawaii. The Japanese Air Force started an air arid over the American fleet and destroyed naval vessels, battleships, and 300 hundred airplanes. Over 1000 people were wounded during the attack.
