The Scientific Revolution took place during the 16th and 17th centuries. (Please note, in the ancient world Greek was the language to know for scientific studies).  Understanding how to read Greek was key to scientific study. (Note: cultures were very important to learn about). Only scholars with knowledge of classical languages made progress. (Note: This wasn't true for all cases but MOST). Foreign exploration opened new channels of learning, and there were critical exchanges in ideas between the East and West.

For what reason did Arizona high school football player Cameron Torres receive a penalty after scoring a touchdown in the Sept.
sergejj [24]

Torres was ejected from the game because it was his second unsportsmanlike penalty in that game alone. He was high stepping as he scored a touchdown which led to a being thrown because they believed Torres was 'taunting' his opponents.

Which sentence uses coordinated syntax? A) Tim and Ricky were friends because they always like to hang out and fix cars together
agasfer [191]

The sentence which uses coordinated syntax is B) Tim and Ricky like to race cars, go to baseball games, and cook hamburgers on the grill.

Coordinated syntax means that two equal sentences are joined together with one of the following conjunctions: <em>and, or, but</em>. The two sentences joined must be equal, which means that they must both be independent and able to stand on their own. For example, in B the sentences "<em>Tim and Ricky like to race", "They go to baseball games" </em>and "<em>They cook hamburgers on the grill</em>" could stand on their own without depending on one another.

On the contrary, in A, the second sentence depends on the first one and so the syntax is not coordinated but subordinated. The same happens in D. In C, the two sentences are not joined and so we cannot talk about coordinated syntax.
