The Mughal Empire, also known as the Mogul Empire, began in the subcontinent of India in 1526. With roots that originated in Central Asia, most particularly Mongolia, and also Persia, and with a government that initiated with the Timurid dynasty, this empire became for many years one of the most powerful and most extended in the history of India. This empire began with the rise to power of their most important leader, Babur, over the ruler of the Delhi Sultanate, and ended with the arrival of the British East India Company.

Although Persian was the most common and the "official" language spoken in the Mughal Empire, the elite classes of the kingdom spoke a Persian-language influenced dialect that was later called the Urdu. As the use of the language extended, and especially after the 1700´s, the rulers of the Mughal empire decided to formalize the use of Urdu, they themselves using it as their formal language. Urdu then became the official language of use within the Mughal Empire.

Even though Graham did not pass legislation or lobby for social reform, how was he an effective leader during this time? Provide
Stella [2.4K]
Graham was an effective leader during his time because he was able to draw a fine line between freedom of religion and politics of the state. He was able to partner with Martin Luther King as a show of solidarity for civil right. Even as his popularity grew, he still have critics. He made his role clear as a spiritual, rather than having political role.

Historically accidents account for approximately 30% of all u.s. army casualties. true or false
krek1111 [17]

I'm going to say TRUE ... although it would help to have more specific context on the span of history your question covers when it says, "historically speaking." And by "US army casualties," I wonder if the question means only the Army and not Navy, Air Force or other branches of service.

Let's look at the overall picture. As reported by the New York Times in 2003, upt that point in the history of the US at war, over 650,000 Americans were killed in combat. Another 243,000 died during the time that wars were being fought, but from training accidents, injury or disease.

The accident rate of deaths for US military personnel seems overall higher in recent years. As reported by the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Center, from 2004 to 2007, deaths caused by war-related injuries accounted for 40% of all deaths of military personnel. Traffic accidents, other accidents, and suicide accounted for the other deaths. (Suicides accounted for 20% of military personnel during that period of statistical measurement.)

How did the British practice of quartering troops in colonial homes inspire acts of violence
kvv77 [185]

Answer:

Explanation:

The Quartering Act of 1765 required the colonies to house British soldiers in barracks provided by the colonies. If the barracks were too small to house all the soldiers, then localities were to accommodate the soldiers in local inns, livery stables, alehouses, victualling houses, and the houses of sellers of wine. "Should there still be soldiers without accommodation after all such public houses were filled," the act read, "the colonies were then required to take, hire and make fit for the reception of his Majesty’s forces, such and so many uninhabited houses, outhouses, barns, or other buildings as shall be necessary."
