Reading The Declaration of Independence, the reader can see that there are 3 parts of human life( Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness) that are needed to be satisfied so the life of people can be peaceful and in harmony. This declaration is a work of literature because it uses many literary devices such as direct references, antithesis, imagery and metaphors, parallelism and repetition. Not only literary devices are signs of a beautiful work of literature but using these devices to demonstrate the meaning of this declaration. In exhaustively but strong explanation, using repetitions and parallelisms, the declaration brings the new theory of government and reason for separating from England and declaration of war. This declaration emphasizes a great struggle for freedom, the need to be prepared to fight for it and all the ways tried out to fight and gain their beliefs. It is a great work of literature because the reader can read very imaginative text with strong and brave examples to support the beliefs and rights they want to succeed.
