Answer:

Brave New World is a dystopian novel from 1931. The author of the novel is Aldous Huxley, while the main idea explored is the government's strict (and often unnecessary) control of the people's lives.

Bernard Marx is an Alpha male, but he does not meet the criteria due to his physical stature. He lacks self-esteem and has untypical opinions on common topics. He shares his surname with Karl Marx, a German writer and the author of Capital, where he criticizes the capitalist society. Bernard would desperately like to be accepted by others, which is the very reason why he does not fit in his society.

Lenina Crowne is a woman that Marx likes. She works as a vaccination worker. Lenina also deviates from certain cultural norms, such as a common belief that you should date one man for several months. Her opinions completely oppose orthodox conventions, which is why the readers often sympathize with her.

Helmholtz Watson, a lecturer at the College of Emotional Engineering, is a man completely unmotivated to do his job. He is a good writer, but he believes that he does not use his talent for the right purposes. He is a friend of Bernard's, and they both seem to be the outsiders of the World State. They, however, criticize the World State in completely different ways - Helmholtz is more philosophical in his complaints, while Bernard's complaints are trivial.
