<h2>The answer is "A. to rally people behind the administration's decision"</h2>

Because Eleanor Roosevelt is talking about of what will be the actions of members of Congress. And Roosevelt didn't like their decisions. So she tells everything to the citizens of what are the actions of the members of Congress, <u>so that the citizens can probably make a rally against to the members of Congress.</u>

Novay_Z [31]

<em>Why do some of the Jews think the move will be an improvement?</em>

<em>The correct answer is, “The ghetto will be administered by a Jewish council and police”.  </em>

  • <em>Some of the Jews think that their move will be an improvement because this guetto has its own council or Judenrat. A Judenrat was a Jewish-German-collaborative administrative agency imposed by Germans and was composed by Jewish. This was what made them think that it was an improvement, they thought they were never going to see again hostile faces, those “hate-laden stares…” Apart from this, Jewish thought this was the last place they were going to stay until the end of the war, until the arrival of the Red Army. However, in May 1944, the Judenrat said that the ghettos were going to be closed and the Jewish would have to move to and unknown destination. </em>

MrRa [10]

Answer:I think that most of the claims listed above could be argued well with specific evidence from Thoreau's essay, but I would be a little suspicious of one of the claims and downright skeptical about another one. To me, Thoreau seems disturbed by the emphasis on technological "improvements" in his day, such as the telegraph and railroad, but does he really believe that technology is the "primary cause of distress"? Right now, I really don't know, so I would wait to see how well the writer could support this interpretation before I would make up my mind
