Interview of tropical cyclone
xenn [34]
A tropical cyclone (TC) is a rotational low-pressure system in tropics when the central pressure falls by 5 to 6 hPa from the surrounding and maximum sustained wind speed reaches 34 knots (about 62 kmph). It is a vast violent whirl of 150 to 800 km, spiraling around a centre and progressing along the surface of the sea at a rate of 300 to 500 km a day.
The word cyclone has been derived from Greek word ‘cyclos’ which means ‘coiling of a snake’. The word cyclone was coined by Heary Piddington who worked as a Rapporteur in Kolkata during British rule. The terms "hurricane" and "typhoon" are region specific names for a strong "tropical cyclone". Tropical cyclones are called “Hurricanes” over the Atlantic Ocean and “Typhoons” over the Pacific Ocean. The reason is that the earth's rotation sets up an apparent force (called the Coriolis force) that pulls the winds to the right in the Northern Hemisphere (and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere). So, when a low pressure starts to form over north of the equator, the surface winds will flow inward trying to fill in the low and will be deflected to the right and a counter-clockwise rotation will be initiated. The opposite (a deflection to the left and a clockwise rotation) will occur south of the equator.
This Coriolis force is too tiny to effect rotation in, for example, water that is going down the drains of sinks and toilets. The rotation in those will be determined by the geometry of the container and the original motion of the water. Thus, one can find both clockwise and counter-clockwise flowing drains no matter what hemisphere you are located. If you don't believe this, test it out for yourself.

The Middle East is a region of great geopolitical importance. The region is in between Europe and the Far East, and between Africa and the Far East. Also, it is a region that has enormous reserves of oil and natural gas, two of the fossil fuels that are in highest demand in all world. The Arabian Peninsula and Iran are the two largest entities in the Middle East, and they are surrounded with numerous straits, gulfs, and seas, all of which have big importance in one way or another. The Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean are connecting this region with India and the rest of the Far East. The Red Sea is an important trade route between the Mediterranean and Indian Oceans, thus between Europe and Asia. Some gulfs simply represent division points between the countries in the region, while some like the Aden Gulf are very dangerous, as there is lot of Somali pirates that constantly attack tankers full with petroleum.

Explain an advantages and disadvantage of factories in East Asia?
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

One of the major advantages to working outside of China is that production costs can be dramatically lower. For example, in China, labor costs have risen over the past 15- 20 years, whereas in countries like Vietnam, India, and Bangladesh, the cost of labor has remained low. Another advantage is if you choose the right country for your product, it can decrease lead time and increase quality. A third advantage is that producing in other developing countries can help U.S. brands avoid Chinese tariffs.

However, there are also disadvantages to working outside of China.

The main challenge is that the raw material sources outside of China are not as broad as in China. Another is that infrastructure outside of China often lags, which means lead times can become a challenge and production delays can be more common.

Hope it helps!
