graph each inequality y-3x<-4

First we solve the inequality for y

Add 3x on both sides, so inequality becomes

y < 3x -4

Now we graph it

for graphing , replace < symbol with = sign

y= 3x - 4

Now make a table, assume some number for x  and find out y

x         y

-1       y=3(-1)-4 = -7

0       y=3(0)-4 = -4

1       y=3(1)-4 = -1

Now plot (-1,-7), (0,-4) ,(1,-1) on graph

Join all the points and make a dotted line ( dotted line for <  or > symbol)

now we do shading

for < symbol we shade down

for > symbol we shade up

The graph is attached below

I'll give brainiest to the first CORRECT answer PLS EXPLAIN.
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

The correct option is First. i.e <u>consistent.</u>

The System shown is <u>consistent.</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Consistent:

A consistent system of equations is a system that has at least one solution.

Our System in graph has only and only ONE solution that is on X-axis

Where the lines are intersecting each other.

Hence, The System shown is <u>consistent.</u>

Inconsistent:

An inconsistent system of equations is a system that has no solution.

Equivalent:

Systems of equations that have the same solution are called equivalent systems. Given a system of two equations, we can produce an equivalent system by replacing one equation by the sum of the two equations, or by replacing an equation by a multiple of itself.

the angle of elevation from the bottom of a scenic gondola ride to the top of a mountain is 31 degrees. if the vertical distance
Eduardwww [97]

Answer:

The ride lasts 10 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

The triangle that is formed is attached.

In order to find out how long the ride lasts, we need to figure out the horizontal distance d.

From trigonometry we have:

tan(31^o)=\frac{902}{d}.

Therefore

d=\frac{902\:feet}{tan(31^o)}=1501\:feet.

Now the amount of time t the gondola ride lasts is equal to the distance d divided by the speed of the gondola:

t=\frac{1501ft}{155ft/sec} =\boxed{9.69\:minutes.}

To the nearest minute this is 10 minutes.
