Despite that, about 33,000 of them signed up for all US Armed Forces and branches, even in the Marines. Either by volunteering or because they were drafted, they served. Including children of Japanese immigrants, having being born as american citizens. Around  20,000 were in the army and it is known that over 800 of them were killed in action.

Along with this, he felt that this type of system would prevent on individual from gaining too much power. Montesquieu complimented the English for their system of checks and balances which consisted of a King, parliament, and a court system. The United States would go on to create a system similar to this when the US Constitution was developed.
