2.Counter the opposition argument : The next step is for you to provide an example that support that argument

3. Accept parts of the opposition's argument that are valid: The next step is to agree with valid point of the opposition's argument. One of the best way to make people stop and listen to you in an argument is when you agreed with part of what they are saying, the same also happens in writing.

4.Present your conclusion about the counterargument: The next and final step is rebuttal and is usually done by using "but" or "however".
