Answer:

A good example that would show the difference between a responsibility and a duty in the case of an 18-year-old male, who also happens to be a U.S citizen, would be: the voting process.

Explanation:

The Voting process is one of the most clear examples that show the difference between a responsibility and a duty in the case of an 18-year-old U.S citizen, be it male or female.

A responsibility is a much wider term, than a duty, encompassing the actions that a person is responsible, or expected, to take charge for in his/her life. In the case of the voting process, although it is not mandatory for any citizen to do so, it is a male´s responsibility, who reaches the age of 18, to learn about the process and become engaged in it by simply learning how it works. This is because it will fall under him, and others, to be responsible for the future government of their country.

A duty is something more precise, more accurate of the many responsibilities someone has. It is an obligation someone has. In the case of the voting process, it is a duty to their country for males who reach the age of 18, and become elegible to vote, to do so, to exercise their right, and to perform such a duty.

Like voting, there are many more examples of duty and responsibility.

Why was the Social Security Act an important part of President Roosevelt's plan for America?
Anna [14]

The correct answer is B) He wanted to deal with the problems of those unable to work at all: retirees, the disabled, dependent mothers, and children.

The Social Security Act was one of several different federal agencies created by Franklin D. Roosevelt as part of his New Deal policies. The New Deal program was supposed to help America recover from the Great Depression by developing employment programs and providing direct financial assistance to American citizens. In this sense, the individuals who needed the financial assistance the most were people who were unable to work. This explains why the Social Security Act was structured with these people in mind.
