The initial thoughts regarding the Importance of being serious, being the Earnest is that it values duty and responsibility at foremost.

The<em> </em>importance of being Earnest is an Victorian play demonstrating Aristocratic morale of the times. The code of conduct of those times have been role called being the Earnest. Earnestness is the ability to be serious and desirous about the determination to accomplish certain task or thought.

The play written by Oscar Wilde, predicate the motive for the people to usher with Earnestness. The people of the Victorian times had more show than the substance and value appearance more than quality. Overall, being serious was the call of the time.
