4 times 3=12
12 times 3=36
I think you want us to find the sum of the geometric sequence to n=15

the sum is
S= \frac{a_1(1-r^{n})}{1-r}
a1=first term=4
n=15
r=common ratio=3

S= \frac{4(1-3^{15})}{1-3}
S= \frac{4(1-14348907)}{-2}
S=-2(-14348906)
S=28697812

it adds to 28697812

I've attached a picture below of the formula for a finite geometric sequence. It includes an infinite geometric sequence formula for your reference, too.

a_1 = 4
r(ratio)= 3
n=15

Plug in the values.

S_{15} = 4*( \frac{1-3^{15}}{1-3} )
S_{15} = 4*( \frac{1-3^{15}}{-2} )
S_{15} = 4*( \frac{1-14348907}{-2} )
S_{15} = 4*( \frac{-14348906}{-2} )
S_{15} = 4*7174453
S₁₅ = <span>28697812</span>

On a beach trip, Lucy rents a bike from “Wheels by the Waves”, where they rent bikes for $12 plus $3 per hour. If Lucy spent $30
Paul [167]

Answer: 6 hours

Step-by-step explanation: If you write an equation for this scenario it would be y = 12+3x. 12 is the starting value and x represents how many hours the bike is rented, therefore 3 dollars would be added to the initial 12 each hour. So if Lucy spent $30 then it would change to 30= 12+3x. Now you essentially just need to work backwards. Rearrange the equation and move 12 to the left of the equal sign to make 30-12=3x. Combine vairable to make 18=3x. Divide 3x by 3 to isolate x and divide 18 by 3 as well to make it even. This looks like 18/3=3x/3. Meaning it would end up as 6=x.

Can someone plz help me no links plz I beg u I’m confused I would really appreciate it
Ghella [55]

Answer: A

Step-by-step explanation:

The maximum amount of weight the truck can carry is 1600lbs. You do not want to exceed 1600lbs, but you can reach 1600lbs. This makes the inequality symbol ≤. This symbol says that the weight load has to be less than 1600lbs, but It can equal 1600lbs. You know that the piano is 400lbs and each box is 50lbs. Since you want to figure out how many boxes you can put on the truck alongside the piano, you can use the inequality: 50x + 400 ≤ 1600.

50 represents pounds per/box

x represents the number of boxes you can hold

400 represents the weight of the piano

1600 represents the max weight.

Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

$156 for 4 g

I did not rally understand how you worded your question so sorry if I got it wrong! <3

Step-by-step explanation:

$156 for 4 g =

$156 / 4 = $39 dollars for 1 g

$280 for 7 g =

$280/7 = $40 dollars for 1 g
