That's because you did not italicize. However I recently had this question in my English. If the italicized phrase on your question was "/to leave the circus tent/" as mine was the correct answer is Infinitive.

This question is incomplete, here´s the complete question.

Identify the italicized phrase as a participial, gerund, infinitive, or appositive phrase.

The children, fascinated by the clown, did not want to leave the circus tent.

Answer: Infinitive

Explanation:

The to-infinitive is used after a large list of specific verbs, especially the ones that express thinking and feelings, like 'choose', 'remember' and 'want', such as in this example.

Other examples with the same word could be:

Rose wants to help her aunt with the new computer.

The boss wanted to develop a new project.

Crystal stair is a metaphor for
barxatty [35]

Answer:

Life being smooth and beautiful

Explanation:

A crystal stair is smooth, beautiful, and has no cracks. Therefore, the comparison implies that life is not smooth and beautiful. Instead she describes, like I said earlier in the literal meaning, a worn-down staircase. The “tacks”, “splinters” and “boards torn up” represent the hard times and adversities in life.

Read the two sentences.
kow [346]

Answer:

I cannot wait to see this movie because the main character is played by my favorite actress.

Explanation:

This is the most accurate answer because it is complex and incorporates both ideas, whereas the other options are wordy and don't use the conjunctions properly.
