The correct answer is D. This verse contains the ABAB rhyme scheme

Explanation:

In the poetry, the word rhyme refers to the repetition of the same sound or of similar sounds in two or more words, especially in the final syllable of these words and usually in the last word of verses. In the case of rhyme schemes, these are the patterns in terms of rhyme a poem can have whether this scheme is repeated in a stanza or in all the stanzas that composed a poem.

Even though there are multiple rhyme schemes one of the most common ones is the ABAB scheme in which in a stanza of four verse the last word of the first verse rhymes with the last word of the third verse and the last word of the second verse rhymes with the one of the fourth verse. This type of scheme can be seen in the stanza of the poem "Song" by John Donne as the word of the first verse "heart" rhymes with the word "part" of the verse number three and the word of the second verse "ill" rhymes with the one of the fourth verse "fulfill". Thus, it can be concluded the statement that is true about the excerpt from "Song" by John Donne is that this verse contains the ABAB rhyme scheme.

SHARKS' TEETH
iragen [17]

Answer:

D. Recounting his youth

Explanation:

The first paragraph deals with mainly with the author bringing up how they found shark teeth when they were younger. That whole first paragraph is essentially the author retelling a story of finding the shark teeth. The second paragraph then transitions to the author explaining how they still look in the same spots for artifacts, in the present. Then furthers more into the present day of the author. Therefore, the most logical answer, in my opinion, would be D. By recounting his youth.

Should animals be allowed in school? There are many pros and cons as to why and why not animals should be allowed in school. I personally think animals should be allowed in schools but with certain conditions. Animals could be a possibly good thing because it could calm kids down, entertain them, and provide a sense of relief and protection.  Having pets at school could also be an issue because some kids are allergic to them, and it could also be a distraction. The animals could also be aggresive towards other animals and other kids. In conclusion there are many pros and cons about having pets in school. How would you feel about being surrounded by a room full of pets while learning?
