Dear Mom and Dad,

It's been six weeks since I left home and believe me when I tell you it seems much, much more. Time passes by so slowly here...

I miss you all very much.

I didn't have the chance to explain why I did this, and I know you may not understand my reasons, but I feel I owed this to the country that offered us a new life and received our family with open arms. We had difficult times, but we can now dream with a brighter future for our family.

I am conscious it's dangerous and that I may not see you in a long time, but I have to believe that everything will be alright and that I will go home some day soon. Back to you. To my friends. And the love of my life.

Also, I believe that we need to protect the country that we now call home from any kind of threat. For our families, our people and our rights. I can say that I feel part of the American army from the bottom of my heart, as it represents everything that I care about and what is right.

I've heard that the British are getting nearer every day from our base, but I feel we will be victorious. I will be safe, please don't worry for me. I will write another letter as soon as I can.

Love,

Your son.

Answer:

The correct answer would be Embodied Ethnocentrism. Our sense of familiarity and comfort within our own culture is known as Embodied Ethnocentrism.

When a person feels close association, ease and comfort within his own cultures, this is called as Embodied Ethnocentrism.

For example when a person wears his traditional cultural dresses in his culture and sees other wearing the same type of dresses, he feels comfortable in his attire, whereas if he is in another culture and is wearing his traditional dress and sees others wearing their traditional dresses, he would surely feel discomfort. So this feeling of being familiar and at ease is called as the embodied ethnocentrism.
