Sea turtles and all their species are qualified as endangered. People use them for meat, eggs, and shells. They are very much exploited and their home is being destroyed by people and fishing equipment.

Also, change of climate influence the turtles and their evolution. In the future, these changes will be devastating. The beaches for nesting are disappearing and high temperatures are affecting their gender ratio.

To save the turtles beaches should be cleaned regularly, plastic waste should be reduced to a minimum, nesting beaches should be kept in dark to ensure their safety.
