Anika [276]

The correct answers are A) To understand why so many or so few people live in an area. B) to predict the kinds of homes people will build in the future. D) to know why unemployment might be high in an area.

It is helpful to compare a dot density map to a physical features map for the following reasons: To understand why so many or so few people live in an area, to predict the kinds of homes people will build in the future, and to know why unemployment might be high in an area.

With the use of these maps, we can better understand the density of a region and what facts could influence the conditions and situations that people can face regarding topics such as employment or lack of, the possibilities or building more homes and the growth of urbanization and to forecast the number of people who could move to that region because of the existence and probable infrastructure.

examine the Supreme Court's ruling in Brown v. Board of Education. How important was the Court's ruling in advancing civil right
Dafna11 [192]

The case of Brown vs Board of Education of Topeka, which took place in 1954, was a major breakthrough for the Civil Rights Movement, as it paved the way for an ending to inequality and segragation, especially in public schools and it influenced many legal cases thereafter. Among the many important things achieved through this ruling was the overturn of several other court rulings, especially those made in Plessy vs Ferguson (1986), which allowed states to establish separate schools for black and white children and Mendez vs Westminster, which allowed for the setting of separate facilities. The case was decided finally by the Supreme Court in a unanimous vote and after it it was settled that the installation of separate public schools, and segregation of children regarding their race in school, was a direct violation of the terms set by the Equal Protection Clause in the Fourtheenth Amendment.
