Sports marketers enhance the perceived value by advertising their products and materials during the season or time that sport begins. For example lets say the Chicago Bulls are the first team to play when basketball season starts,Chicago Bull apparel is going to start selling everywhere. Another example could be the brand Nike. When its basketball season all the basketball lovers are going to want new apparel so Nike drops products with adds and other things that would wanna make the basketball players want the apparel.

I think by direct hitting their emotion and passion of their customers. Sport is a kind of business that needs understanding from the sports market. The customers give value or loyal to its sports products depends on what clubs it refers to. By affecting the emotional part of the customers it perceived the value of its commodities to the market. Another example is that, even though their possible personnel changes from the team they idolized, they still continue to support them in different ways they can do.

Decision #2: Planning for Retirement Erich and Mallory are 22, newly married, and ready to embark on the journey of life. They b
Wittaler [7]

Answer:

The second investment will provide the highest amount of money.

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

Option A:

They had been thinking that they would wait at least 10 years and then start investing $3000 per year to prepare for retirement, 35 years later.

Option B:

They put $3000 per year away for the next 10 years - and then simply let that money sit for the next 35 years without any additional payments.

We will assume an interest rate of 10%.

For option A, we need to use the following formula:

FV= {A*[(1+i)^n-1]}/i

A= annual deposit

FV= {3000*[(1.10^35)-1]}/0.10= $813,073.11

For option B, first, we need to determine the 10 years investment:

FV= {3000*[(1.10^10)-1]}/0.10= 47,812.27

Now, we calculate the 35-year investment with the following formula:

FV= PV*(1+i)^n

FV= 47,812.27*(1.10^35)= $1,343,641.30

Suppose that the firm pays its workers $46 per day. Each unit of output sells for $12. How many workers should the firm hire
Korolek [52]

Solution :

A firm hires labor till a point where the cost of hiring is equal to the value of the additional revenue it produces.

We know ,

the wage rate = cos of hiring an additional worker

the value of the additional revenue that the firm produces = price x (MPI) marginal product of the labor.

Therefore, the firm will hire when :

Wage = value of the additional revenue it generates

Thus, wage = price  x (MPI) marginal product of the labor ...........(i)

Therefore, given :

wage of a worker = $ 45

Price = $ 12

So, 45 = 12 x MPI

MPI = 3.8

So the marginal product of employing three days of labor = 25-18/4-3 = 7

Marginal product of employing four days of labor = 30-25/4-3 = 5

So the 4th day produces less revenue than the cost that it generates.

So, the firm should hire 3 workers.

Exercise 11-1 (Algo) Depreciation methods [LO11-2] [The following information applies to the questions displayed below.] On Janu
Dvinal [7]

Answer:

Straight line depreciation expense each year of the useful life would be $9,600

The double declining method

Deprecation expense in December 2021 = $20,800

Depreciation expense in 2022 = $12,480

Depreciation expense in 2023= $7488

Depreciation expense in 2024 = $4,492.80

Deprecation expense in 2025 = $2695.68

Explanation:

Straight line depreciation method = (Cost of asset - Salvage value) / useful life

Cost of asset = $52,000

Salvage value = $4,000

Useful life = 5

($52,000 - $4,000) / 5 = $9,600

The straight line depreciation method allocates the same deprecation expense for each year of the useful life of the asset.

So the deprecation expense each year would be $9,600.

Double declining depreciation method = Depreciation factor x cost of the asset

Depreciation factor = 2 x (1/useful life)

2 × (1/5) = 0.4

Deprecation expense in December 2021 = 0.4 x $52,000 = $20,800

Net book value = $31,200

Depreciation expense in 2022 = 0.4 x $31,200 = $12,480

Net book value = $31,200 - $12,480 = $18,720

Depreciation expense in 2023 = 0.4 x $18,720 = $7488

Net book value = $18,720 - $7488 =$11,232

Depreciation expense in 2024 = 0.4 x $11,232 = $4,492.80

Net book value = $11,232 - $4,492.80 = $6,739. 20

Deprecation expense in 2025 = 0.4 × $6,739. 20 = $2695.68
