Anyone know any facts about Women in WW2
const2013 [10]

Women were very important during World War II, despite not fighting in combat they helped at home. Lots of women worked in factories during this time to build weapons, ammo, different types of war vehicles, and uniforms. Along with this they also made sure to take care of children back home. Women served as army nurses too, they worked in field hospitals and medical transport planes to help save as many soldiers as possible. The Women's Army Corps (WAC), was started in 1942 and women were usually up close and personal with war. Although they did not have anything to do with combat, they worked on army camps repairing vehicles, sorting mail, and other non-combat related things. Along with WAC, there was also the Women's Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs), these were women who had a pilot license and worked carrying army supplies and carrying other goods. This made it so there were more men to be able to work in combat and less in piloting. Rosie the Riveter is a very famous posters that the US government created to persuade women to join factories to help with WWII. This poster is of a woman flexing her arm with the speech bubble, "We Can Do It!" This was a massive hit among women and made them feel like they had a chance to do something. Women were a very important part of World War II and produced the much needed equipment we needed to end the war.
