Why did Hitler believe that war with the Soviet Union would not be “Knightly Affair”?

History

Hitler not only despised communism but he also had an irrational and highly racist view of the Soviet union citizens. Through his evil charisma and charm as well as propaganda many of his soldiers thought of citizens of the Soviet union as being inferior beings as a result vicious tactics were used by the Germans particularly early on when they were gaining ground fast and efficiently. Committing atrocities throughout the country whether it was burning down villages or killing citizens there was nothing traditional about how Hitler's Nazi's viewed the war in the Eastern front. Sadly and more well known is the despicable racism and genocide of Jewish people during this time. But Hitler was not just a racist of Jewish people, pretty much anyone of non "Aryan" descent and was an inferior being in his eyes and many of his followers. So Hitler view operation Barbarosa as an untraditional warfare of complete annihilation in order for the German people to have more "living space" .
