Having been to a country like Ghana, in West Africa were the blacks live, they found a whole new experience among the people of same color. They could freely interact without being discriminated for their skin color.

Maya Angelou recounted her experience with Guy in Ghana in her autobiography titled: All God’s Children Need Travelling Shoes.

Maya Angelou is a well known poet and writer and she is best-known of her work, "I know why the Caged Bird Sings", a memoir of her life as a girl in Arkansas.
