Alexa is preparing for a presentation by creating note cards identifying keywords that describe various features of each type of
plate boundary. Which words apply to all three of the convergent boundaries? A. mountain ranges form, earthquakes are common, subduction zones form
B.plates move towards each other, volcanoes form, subduction zones form
C.earthquakes are common, plates move toward each other, one plate sinks below other
D.plates slide past each other, earthquakes are common, mountain ranges form
The Convergent plate boundary is one type of tectonic boundary, where one plate strikes with the other. During this type of motion, the denser plate sinks below the lighter plate and results in the formation of a subduction zone. The subducting plate melts at greater depth and eventually mixes up with melt. The magma again slowly rises upward due to the force exerted by the convection current, towards the surface of the earth in the over-riding plate, giving rise to the formation of volcanoes. These are the zones of active tectonics, where deep focus earthquakes are originated.
The radiation fog is formed when the land surface cools after the sunset in the conditions of the clear sky. Thus the cooling ground cools the air above it and as a result of this the conduction causes the air temperature to fall and hence it reaches the dew point and forms a fog.
