Answer: The right answer is “I thought C.S. Lewis wrote only children’s books," said Ryan — you are adding a comma and a quotation after books.

Explanation: Just to elaborate a little on the answer, it can be added that since the speaker is directly quoting Ryan's exact words, he or she is using quotation marks in order to identify them. In the United States, and if you follow the documentation style known as the APA style, the comma or period punctuation must be placed before the final quotation mark. For that reason, since the direct quotation ends in the word "books," the comma and the quotation must be placed after it.

Why does the narrator say, “the disease had sharpened my senses, not destroyed, not dulled them”?
vagabundo [1.1K]

Answer:

I didn't read the book or know the story but I can imagine that if it is meant to be literal, he/she said it because having the disease made him/her more careful and weary.

Explanation:

It is kind of like what happened with this Corona. We heard about the "disease" and became more weary and careful. Also: sharpened our senses.

Answer:

According to blank slate theory, the mind is completely blank at birth. From there, education, environment, and experiences – which are external, as well as material and/or immaterial – shape the child's process of development. This leaves a lasting effect on who they become.

Aleks [24]
The answer is emjabment. Based on the lines from Patricia Jabbeh Wesley's "One Day", it can be seen that she uses enjabment when creating her own structure. Enjabment, in poetry, refers to the continuation of one poetic line to the next line without the use of punctuation.
