What did students at the University of New Mexico first protest in May 1970?
kvv77 [185]

The correct answer is B. The deaths of four students at Kent State.

Explanation

During the 70s the Vietnam War was carried out in which South Vietnam and North Vietnam faced each other, motivated by establishing a form of government of socialist-communist inspiration (North Vietnam) and democratic inspiration (South Vietnam). One of the countries that got involved in this confrontation was the United States, which supported South Vietnam. This caused rejection in the United States population due to the Human Rights violations that occurred in it by members of the United States Army. This rejection caused demonstrations by young pacifists and students in the United States. One of them ended in the murder of four students from the University of Kent (Ohio) on May 4, 1970. The next day, students from the University of New Mexico protested against the Vietnam War and the murder of these four students. from the University of Kent. So the correct answer is B. The deaths of four students at Kent State.
