Answer:

Explanation:

The Germans started using the toxic gas which killed any troops in the radius that is not wearing a gas mask. Most of the chemical weapons burst your lungs or filled your lungs with water. The machine gun was probably the most important as they cut down any incoming troops. Wave after wave of enemy troops would rush trenches and the fastest way of killing them were machine gun dig out. These impacted the war and these are the main reasons war changed forever. With chemical weapons, you could kill many people without having a single casualt. With machine guns, it was really hard to attack trenches, and you could cut down hordes of people instead of the conventional bolt action rifle.

Answer:

The machine-gun was one of the deadliest weapons of the Western Front, causing thousands of casualties. It was a relatively new weapon at the start of the war, but British and German forces soon realised its potential as a killing machine, especially when fired from a fixed defensive position.

The Vickers machine-gun (above) was famed for its reliability and could fire over 600 rounds per minute and had a range of 4,500 yards. With proper handling, it could sustain a rate of fire for hours. This was providing that a necessary supply of belted ammunition, spare barrels and cooling water was available. When there was no water to hand, soldiers would urinate in the water jacket to keep the gun cool!

Sedimentary rock formed from the combined processes of weathering, erosion, transportation, deposition, lithication, and compact
Nana76 [90]
The sedimentary rock in question is sandstone.

Sandstone is a clastic sedimentary rock made up mostly of weathering sand size debris that accumulates where the waters are slower.

Sandstone is formed by all of the processes named above.
-weathering of the rocks
-erosion caused by water and wind
-transportation by water bodies
-deposition by the water masses where they are slower
-lithification under the pressure
-compactation while mixing with multiple other sediments.

How hove volcanoes played a role in the formation of land above or below the water?
cluponka [151]
Volcanoes play an important role in creating land since they are the sources of magma, which once above ground normally cools to create new land. In the ocean, this land normally forms at divergent and convergent boundaries or hot spots. At divergent boundaries (where two plates move apart), magma constantly erupts along a trench deep below the ocean's surface. This magma rarely piles upward and instead is pushed to both sides of the trench. This is how new seafloor forms. Convergent boundaries can create island arcs like Indonesia as magma erupts bit by bit. Hot spots occur in the middle of plates. They are instances where the mantle pierces through the crust and begins to erupt directly onto to seafloor. Over time, these eruptions will pile up and create underwater volcanoes until they potentially make it above sea level, thereby forming an island. This is how Hawaii was and continues to be formed.
