How did the concept of mercantilism influence the spread of new foods, plants, and animals around the world
Butoxors [25]

Mercantilism, the country needs a favorable balance of trade so it exports more than it imports goods. The mother country would import manufactured goods to the colony exporting raw materials in exchange. For example the Columbian exchange exported new foods and crops from the Americas such as maize, tobacco, sugar, cotton and potatoes. Horses were brought from Europe and introduced to the Native American people. For example: the Lakota mostly hunted buffalo and this practice was improved with the introduction of horses.

Hope this helps

All of the following are examples of how catholic/protestant split lead to political rivalries and wars in Europe, except:
Ulleksa [173]
D is the one, but it is a trick question. Catholic Spain DID try to get the Netherlands to convert to Catholicism and remain under Spanish rule, but it never worked! The Netherlands resisted, and asked for (and got) English help in resisting the Spanish overlords. It led to the Thirty Years War, in which the Netherlands fought back against the Spanish.

Spain tried everything from the Inquisition to bloody reprisals, and the persecution of the Dutch Protestants. The English "loaned" Willliam of Orange to the Netherlands, who defeated the Spanish army.
