Salutary neglect refers to the enforcement of trade and parliamentary laws with the English crown. These laws were maintained to keep the  English colonies under the control of the crown.

Explanation:

Salutary neglect were a set of laws which made the American colonies feel a sense of freedom. The colonies weer loyal to the crown and the English crown left free to govern themselves. After the seven years war, the English monarch George III wanted to capitalize from the English colonies in America. He was left in a position to  compensate huge war debts after the french and Indian wars, Britain was in a post war depression and hence to stabilize the economy, the king decided to reap profits from the colonies.

It was the time when salutary neglect  was followed in the colonies and they had set up their own system of trade and manufacturing laws and became increasingly self sufficient. in order to obtain some finance from the colonies, the English crown taxed the colonists heavily with a series of acts such as Townshend act, revenue act, stamp act, sugar act, Tea act etc., this aggravated the annoyance of the colonists who were not given a chance to vent out their frustration in the English parliament and hence the civilians divided among themselves into loyalists and patriots who started to plunge into protests against the heavy taxes levied by the crown and thereby the oppression of the colonists. Protests such as Boston tea party marked the colonists anger and frustration against the British. This led to the way towards the American Independence.

Answer: to be a community of learners in a classroom is to be a team or a group that works together to build knowledge and even friendship. the way that my classroom feels like a community of learners when i can ask a fellow classmate for a pencil or when i ask a fellow classmate who might have heard the teacher more to repeat what was just said. or when i can do something like this for my classmates. what might help to make it feel like a community of learners is having sticks drawn. this may be an idea for a younger grade but sometimes when we raise our hands not everybody gets a chance to answer and some people arent paying attention. if we draw sticks with names on it then no one has to feel left out and the teacher can insure that more students are paying attention
