The Brown vs. Board of education was filed by Oliver Brown against the Board of Education of Topeka, Kansas after her daughter was not allowed to enter the all-white elementary school in <u><em>Topeka. The segregation in schools ended due to the hard work of the NAACP, who filed cases against the segregation laws in public schools.</em></u>
