Answer:

B. Pilot

Twain says: when I was a kid, there was one perpetual desire among my friends in our town on the west bank of the Mississippi River: to be a steamboatman.

From time to time we had an expectation that on the off chance that we lived and were great, God would allow us to be privateers. These desire became dull, each in its turn; yet the aspiration to be a steamboatman dependably remained.

What is one example of a typo
Gnesinka [82]

Hello!

A typo refers to when a person mistypes a word and ends up misspelling it.

An example of a typo may be "beautigul" instead of "beautiful." This is because the wrong key was typed when spelling the word.

I hope this helps you! Have a lovely day!

Why does churchill believe an invasion of British soil is not likely to occur in the near future?
Brums [2.3K]
Churchill believes that an invasion of British soil is not likely to occur in the near future because the enemy would have to cross the heavily guarded sea to get there.
In his famous speech, "Their finest hour", given on 1940, Churchill said that for the Germans to cross the English Channel, they would need to have a large armada, that would be "intercepted long before it reaches the coast". There would be many obstacles in the way of an invading Navy, such as minefields, air bombings and the British Navy itself.
